Delivery of an optical grading line for shallots at a packaging company in Norway

In Norway we supplied this optical grading line in collaboration with GeJo Grading Services. Small shallot varieties are optically graded by a SmartGrader SG-04. This machine sorts the shallots very accurately.

A web sorter (square size sorter) is included at the beginning of the line, which makes a rough selection in the product flow. The product then enters a sensor-based inspection unit that separates imperfections such as clods, stones, damaged shallots, etc. After this, the product flow goes via various conveyor belts and other machines to the SmartGrader.
